DALLAS – TACA – The Arts Community Alliance – announced today that 42 arts groups are recipients of TACA Resiliency Grants in the program’s third round of funding. The unrestricted funding was created to support Dallas arts organizations demonstrating resiliency in creatively fulfilling their mission despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 landscape. Third round grants range from $3,500-17,000, and total $317,500.
“The past year has taught us many lessons about resilience in the arts community, and I’ve never been prouder of our organization and our many supporters for their overwhelming generosity in response to the pandemic,” said Terry D. Loftis, Donna Wilhelm Family President & Executive Director. “We are honored to make a third round of TACA Resiliency Fund grants to 42 outstanding organizations, as we celebrate their noteworthy missions in the midst of a historically significant fundraising year for our organization.”

Four Pop-up Grantees Announced
In addition to TACA Resiliency Grants, the organization also announced four recipients of its Pop-up Grants, part of the TACA Resiliency Initiative. Pop-up grants have been distributed monthly since last August as small disbursements to organizations demonstrating quality limited programming, exceptional creativity and innovation. In May, $18,000 in Grants – $6,000 in unrestricted Pop-Up Grants and $12,000 in Artist Bonus Funds were distributed to:
- American Baroque Opera Company – Dido & Aeneas
- Cara Mía Theatre Co. – Ursula
- Soul Rep Theater – Soul-O-Shorts
- TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND – Pilobolus in the Garden
The awards are merit-based and made more frequently to raise the visibility of artistic work happening in the community. Past recipients of Pop-up Grants have included Bishop Arts Theatre Center, Nasher Sculpture Center, and Bruce Wood Dance.
