Detail: an unreleased track by Verdigris Ensemble, On A Starry Night is the opening jazz song of Betty's Notebook. Betty's Notebook is the story of Amelia Earhart as she was taken off her flight path, as heard by teenage Betty Klenck on shortwave radio. While Betty wrote down segments of Earhart's distress calls in a notebook, Jazz songs would periodically intertwine with Earhart's final moments.

Betty's Notebook was commissioned by Verdigris Ensemble and premiered in 2019 at the Texas Theatre. In 2021, a digital NFT was created and sold for $375,000 to Metapurse, a collector in India, which allowed for 28 Dallas artists receive a year's worth of pay for a week's worth of work during the pandemic.

Betty's Notebook will be released as an album in May 2025.
